Centreville Public Schools Food Club distributed Thanksgiving dinners Tuesday to 100 of its school families.
Each meal included a turkey, green beans, corn, stuffing, gravy, rolls and a pie.
Superintendent Chad Brady said the give-away was possible because of the district’s partnership with the Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies, St. Joseph County Farm Bureau and The Jason Scramlin Agency.
Brady offered special thanks to Walther Farms for donating potatoes for every meal, High Acres Farm for apples used for the pies, the students of the St. Joe County CTE Culinary Arts Program for making pies for every family, and to the Centreville Agriculture Science Program for their work to make the day possible.
Centreville Public Schools Food Club is set to open the week of Dec. 8.
