Brian Kaylor, 54

With a hug, a kiss and a wave goodbye, Brian Douglas Kaylor, age 54, left to spend eternity in Heaven with Our Lord on December 6, 2025. With their love and blessings, his family bid a tearful farewell and waved goodbye to this special young man.

Born in Three Rivers with Down’s Syndrome and a unique hole in his heart, Brian lived his entire life with his mother. As a toddler, Brian survived three complex heart surgeries at Detroit Children’s Hospital.

Brian attended Pathfinder Center where he enjoyed golfing, bowling, and especially enjoyed being manager for the Pathfinder Panthers basketball team. After he completed Pathfinder Center, he attended the Three Rivers Life Skills Center.

Brian enjoyed family activities, his birthday most of all, video games, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved going to church and when unable to go, he watched services on TV.

Brian had a personality unlike any other. He spread joy, smiles, jokes, and love to everyone he met.  After getting to know Brian, a person could walk away with a renewed outlook on life. In his later years, Brian developed Dementia. Unfortunately, with the rapid decline of dementia, this beautiful young man was forever changed.

Surviving are his mother, Anita “Marti” Hagenbuch, brothers Adam Kaylor and Jeff (Darcie) Hagenbuch; sisters Laurie (Paul) Zarza and Deb (Tony) Ruden; Aunt Myrna Brown, Aunt Laura Sills; cousins Mike (Cindy) Brown, Charlie (Cyndi) Brown, Robert (Tonya) Sills, Thomas (Teresa) Sills; second cousins Jessica (Nick) Brady, Ashley (Neil) Taylor, Dean Lee, Sera Brown, Hannah Hassinger and special friend Anita Ollila, P.T.

A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold Street, Three Rivers, MI on Saturday, December 27th from 2 to 4 p.m.
