Rescheduled light parade planned

Three Rivers Downtown Development Authority has issued a reminder that its postponed holiday light parade takes place later this week.

Hosted by the DDA, Trucordia and Riverside Church, the procession is slated to take place at 6 p.m. Friday. Originally scheduled for Nov. 29, the parade was put on hold due to an excessive amount of snow and hazardous road conditions.

Event organizers said the illuminated parade is the first of its kind in the city.
