Todd Buddie Easterday, age 60, of Sturgis, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2025, at his home.
He was born July 19, 1965 in Sturgis, the son of Buddie James and Doris A. (Stump) Easterday. Todd was a lifelong resident of the Sturgis and White Pigeon area and attended White Pigeon Schools.
Throughout his working years, Todd was employed by K-Mart, Kroger, and Harding’s in Sturgis, as well as Drake Casket Company in Constantine. He was very mechanically inclined and always seemed to have a tinkering project or a piece of furniture he was building. Todd enjoyed starting his mornings with coffee and conversation with friends at McDonald’s, watching movies and television series, and spending time with his beloved cats.
He is survived by his mother, Doris A. Easterday of Sturgis; his sisters, Pamela (James) Strang and Lori Miller, both of Sturgis; his many friends in the Gateway community; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Buddie James Easterday, and his brother, Timothy James Easterday.
In honoring Todd’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Private family services will be held at a later date.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
With respect to Todd’s love for animals, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph County Animal Control, 652 E. Main Street, Centreville, Michigan 49032.
