Marie Noel, 83

Marie Kathryn Noel, age 83, of Mendon, passed away at Three Rivers Health on January 4, 2026 after a long illness.  She was born in Three Rivers on October 12, 1942 the daughter of John and Lydia (Yoder) Overholt.  She attended Burr Oak and Colon schools.  On October 27, 1959 Marie married the love of her life, Lester Noel in Vicksburg, and would spend 61 wonderful years together, until his passing in 2021. Marie enjoyed attending auctions and flea markets, always looking for the best deal; this often lead to her many collections, ranging from CocaCola, dolls, and salt/pepper shakers.  She would often watch game shows and complete word search puzzles.  Marie tended to her yard, making sure it always looked pristine.  When all the hard work was done, she would listen to Elvis, and enjoy her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she loved dearly.

Marie is survived by her son Randy (Tammy) Noel; seven grandchildren; Kayla Holloman, Christina (John) Bingaman, Kourtney (Brandon) Burbank, Nathan Dupree, Jessica (Kyle Sass) Noel, Jonathan Noel, Justin (Samantha) Noel; seventeen great-grandchildren; siblings; Leanna (Jerry) Heath, Edna May (Willard) Heath, Melvin (Shirley) Overholt, Donny (Sue) Overholt, Linda (Ron) Hudson, and sister in law, Vicky Overholt; and many nieces, nephews, and extended families.  She was preceded in passing by her parents John and Lydia Overholt; brother Ron Overholt; and her husband Lester Noel.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been conducted.  A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.  It is suggested that donations be directed to the Salvation Army.  Condolences and memories may be expressed to her family at eickhofffuneralhome.com
