Battle Creek man arrested on CSC charges

A Battle Creek man has been arraigned on charges following an alleged incident with a minor.

Officials from the Branch County Prosecutor’s Office said Noble Vater Lebron, a 23-year-old theater director, is charged with felony counts of third-degree, criminal-sexual conduct with a minor and accosting a child for immoral purposes.

County officials said Lebron allegedly had sexual contact in November 2023 with a 15-year-old girl in Union City. Furthermore, authorities said they received additional reports from other girls under the age of 16 that allege Lebron acted sexually toward them during theater-related activities.

Bond was set at $25,000. He is scheduled to have a probable cause hearing Thursday and a preliminary examination next week, according to court officials.
