Centreville set to begin high school construction project

Centreville Public Schools Superintendent Chad Brady issued a media release Wednesday detailing upcoming construction that will impact student drop-off/pick-up, parking, and parking-lot traffic flow at the high school.

The start of the district’s Series 2, 2023 Bond Construction project includes the addition of a multi-purpose gymnasium and air-conditioning at the jr/sr high school.

Work is set to begin Monday, Brady said, noting a significant area of the jr./sr. high school parking lot will not be accessible through the end of the school year.

Drop-off/pick-up traffic on the east side of the jr./sr. high will loop around and back out to Nottawa Street, not around the gym to King Street.

Meanwhile, student parking will be re-located to the current staff parking lot.

Additional information, including baseball, softball and track parking, and graduation parking, is available through the district’s website: cpschools.org.
