City commission meets today

Three Rivers City Commission members plan to apply for a state grant in hopes of improving a municipal park.

During their commission meeting this evening, Mayor Angel Johnston and commissioners are expected to approve an application to Michigan Department of Natural Resources for work at Elbert Foster Park on East Broadway Street.

Potential improvements include a paved parking lot, playground upgrades, and picnic tables and grills.

Other agenda items include winter salt purchase, consideration of Farrand Hall Diner to be included in the downtown social district and discussion related to airport fuel-system replacement.

Today’s meeting starts at 6 o’clock at city hall.
