Emergency personnel continue to respond to a tornado touchdown in the City of Three Rivers,
Fabius Township, and areas east and northeast of the City of Three Rivers. The National
Weather Service is working to determine the rating of the tornado. Search and rescue efforts
are ongoing, but should be completed today.
Residents are urged to avoid the affected areas and follow these safety precautions:
• Do not travel to or through the affected locations.
• Stay away from damaged or unstable structures, including buildings that have been
marked by emergency personnel.
• Avoid downed power lines, damaged trees, and debris.
A Disaster Response Operation is open through the American Red Cross. Residents
needing assistance can contact the American Red Cross at 800-RED-CROSS.

Volunteers and donations are being handled by the St. Joseph County United Way, with
support from Sheriff’s Office Victim Services Unit. Interested volunteers can sign up by calling

Emergency crews, including law enforcement, fire, EMS, and utility personnel, are actively
working to clear affected areas and restore services. Please allow emergency personnel the
space they need to safely conduct response operations.
Residents should anticipate power outages, road closures, and potential cellular or internet
service interruptions.
