Constantine village officials have chosen the winners of the recent “Village Creed” essay contest.
Mary Mcleroy won the adult category and the essay compiled by Aydin Weinberg was chosen as winner of the 18-and-under category. Both were given a $200 cash prize.
Their submissions were chosen by a panel of community leaders.
Participants were encouraged to detail community-based core concepts into their essay, aiding village officials in working together to create a shared vision for Constantine.
Constantine’s interim village manager Jim Bontrager said organized the contest as a way of establishing a statement that reflects the community, its residents, values and future.
Judges also acknowledged Sam Wagner and Ryan Tannehill for their contributions.
Constantine’s interim village manager is inviting residents to take part in a community-pride competition.
