Frank Louis Wittendorf III, age 42, of South Bend, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026.
He was born February 21, 1984 in Three Rivers, the son of Frank L. Jr. and Barbara A. (Lung) Wittendorf, and graduated from Constantine High School, where he participated in Boy Scouts and CTE.
Frank was the head pressman at Mossberg & Co. in South Bend for about 11 years. He was a handyman at heart and loved construction.
On July 19, 2014 he married Andrea Badowski. They had one daughter, Addison. He loved being her dad and she was the light of his life.
Frank enjoyed mushroom hunting, adventuring, and was an old soul. He was an animal lover who adored his miscellaneous rescues, including dogs Bailey and Stella, and cats Hondo and Reece.
Remaining to cherish his memory are his parents; grandfather, Max Lung; wife, Andrea Wittendorf; daughter, Addison Wittendorf; sisters, Christy (Terry) Frye and Tisha (Troy) Wyatt; father-in-law, Bob (Trish) Badowski; mother-in-law, Sue Badowski; brother-in-law, Robert (Kaity) Badowski; nieces and nephews, Eleanor Badowski, Noah Badowski, Madison Fraczek, P.J. Fraczek, and Cody Frye; multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins; special friends, Josh Brady, Mike Brady, and Sarah Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Mable Wittendorf Sr., Evelyn Lung, and Dan and Pat Thompson; aunt, Kim Klatt; and cat, Tipsy.
A visitation celebrating Frank’s life will be held Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to noon at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A private burial will be held following services.
