Billy R. Miller, age 73, of Shipshewana, passed away at on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Elkhart General Hospital, after a one-year battle with leukemia. He was born on July 3, 1952 in LaGrange to Crist J. and Katie (Troyer) Miller.
On September 2, 1972 in Centreville, he married Terry Watts, she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are son, Tony Miller of Shipshewana; five grandchildren, Kyle Miller, Trey Kennedy, Kolton Miller, Lane Kennedy, and Karli Miller; great-granddaughter, Ivy Miller; two brothers, Cristy Jr. (Ida) Miller of Shipshewana and Dale Miller of Shipshewana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Miranda Kennedy, and sister, Ruthie Miller.
Billy was a member of Scott Methodist Church and the United States Trotting Association. He worked in local factories throughout his life and had a deep enjoyment of harness racing. Billy was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 on Thursday, April 2, and also 3:00 to 7:00 on Friday, April 3, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street, Middlebury.
