Carmen T. Pontius, age 65, of Bronson, passed away Friday, April 3, 2026 at Beacon Health Hospital in Kalamazoo.
She was born May 17, 1960 in Rochester, IN a daughter of the late Lawrence and Wanda Pontius.
Carmen was a homemaker and enjoyed ceramics, crafts, listening to rock music, and was a cat and small animal lover.
Surviving are one son: Andrew Pontius of Burr Oak; a daughter: Jeni Bowerman, a daughter-in-law: Katrina Pontius; 3 grandchildren: Ashton Pontius, La’Miya and Lylan McIntyre, a sister: Deborah Klujsza; a brother: Dawayne Pontius, a niece: Amber Pontius and a nephew: Brett Foster.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son: Matt Pontius, and a sister: Shawn Pontius.
According to her wishes there will be no visitation or services as cremation has taken place.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
Memorial donations may be directed to the charity of one’s choice and envelopes are available at the funeral home.
