United Way sets up fund for family of 5 year drowning victim

St. Joseph County United Way has established a catastrophic fund for the family of a 5-year-old boy who died last week as the result of an apparent drowning.

Agency director Kelly Hostetler said the fund will help the family of Adam Clemens. She said 100 percent of all donations will be turned over to the family to help offset the cost of funeral expenses.

A QR code and a link to donate can be found on the United Way’s website: sjcuf.com.

Sheriff Chad Spence said Clemens was found unconscious last week in a stream between Palmer and Sturgeon lakes in Colon.
