Rose Ann Keith, age 79, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at The Orchards in Three Rivers.
She was born on November 21, 1946 in Port Glasgow, Scotland to James and Mable (Cain) Lyle. She met Daniel Keith during his Navy service, and the two were married in Scotland before moving to the United States when she was 18. Though she built her life in America, she remained deeply connected to her Scottish roots, often sharing stories from her childhood and taking pride in where she came from.
Rose worked as a nurse’s aide at Heartland Health Care Center and Bowman House, where she found meaning in caring for and connecting with others.
She was a devout Catholic, and her faith remained an important part of her life. Rose found joy in attending church, listening to music — especially Rod Stewart and other Scottish artists — and spending time in simple, meaningful ways with those she loved.
Rose was expressive and deeply emotional, with both strong highs and difficult lows. She could be a lot at times, but that intensity was part of her nature and something those who knew her came to understand.
She loved her cats, especially her black cat Diego, and enjoyed horror movies, shopping, and her distinctive sense of style, along with her favorite — a double Filet-O-Fish with cheese.
Remaining to cherish her memory are her children, James (Melissa), Bonnie (Jim), Matt, and Franklin “Scott”; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her son, Rowdy “Danny.”
A memorial mass will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest at Peek Cemetery.
Arrangements by Hohner Funeral Home.
