Sturgis Neighborhood Program representatives wish to remind Sturgis residents that help may be available for home repairs.
Agency director Kathryn Myers said funds to help cover costs associated with a new furnace, windows, roof, siding, plumbing repairs and electrical needs are available thanks to a grant from Michigan State Housing Development Authority’s “MI Neighborhood” program.
Owner-occupied homes qualify and potential recipients must also have an income threshold at or below 80 percent Area Median Income.
Applications for the “Neighbor2Neighbor” Homeowner Improvement Program are due to Myers on or before May 15. Three recipients will be selected for funding.
