Lyle Vernon Harvey, age 86, of Colon, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at his home. He was born on October 28, 1939 in Champion, Ohio to parents James E. and Florence E. (Hover) Harvey. Lyle honorably served his country in both the Army and Navy and was a proud veteran. He spent his career driving trucks and was a dedicated member of the Colon American Legion post 454.
Lyle is survived by his son Perry Harvey of Colon, daughter April Hammerschmith of Washington, son Vincent Grandon of Montana, as well as many grandchildren and stepchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Timothy Harvey.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 9:30 AM at Fort Custer National Cemetery, located at 49012 W Dickman Rd, Augusta, MI 49012.
