Branch-St. Joseph Area Agency on Aging is responsible for identifying needs, providing comprehensive information and assistance/referral services, and assuring that a full array of services and supports is available to older adults and families across Branch and St. Joseph counties.
Every three years, the Area Agency on Aging prepares a multi-year area plan. The plan spells out the needs of older adults and sets priorities for funding and services.
AAA is currently seeking input from Branch and St. Joseph County residents, service participants, caregivers and community leaders.
Agency director Laura Sutter said older adults, the caregiver of an older adult and anyone with an interest in sharing perspective as an advocate or professional is encouraged to speak up.
AAA has posted an online survey, which takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. It can be accessed through the health department’s website: busj.org. It will be live through May 11.
