Colon names Hattan as football coach

A coaching decision considered a foregone conclusion was made last week by Colon High School.

Robbie Hattan was named varsity football coach of the 8-man Magi team.

Hattan announced in February he was returning to Colon to serve as its director of student services and facilities. Now, he adds the roles of coach and athletic director to his duties.

Hattan, who guided Colon to a state title in 2019, had spent the past three years in Battle Creek as director of facilities and varsity football head coach at Pennfield Schools following seven years at Colon Community Schools.

His last day at Pennfield was March 13 and first day back at Colon was March 16.
