A Constantine icon will be celebrated Saturday.
Village officials invite the public to attend a tree-planting ceremony honoring Kathy Messner. Event organizers said the celebration is in honor of Messner’s dedicated service, kindness and love for the community.
The culmination centers on planting of a prairie rose crabapple tree, which is symbolic of beauty and strength.
The event starts at 2 p.m. Saturday outside the village office, 115 White Pigeon Street.
