American Legion plans Flag Day event

Three Rivers American Legion is hosting a Flag Day observance this weekend.

The event will feature an insightful presentation by the Three Rivers Elks, whose members will share details regarding the history of the U.S. flag.

Participants are encouraged to bring worn or threadbare flags to be retired in accordance with proper protocols.

The event starts at 1 p.m. Sunday.
