Elizabeth Craw, age 92 of Sturgis, Michigan passed away Wednesday
morning February 24, 2010 at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis.
She was born May 1, 1917 in Three Rivers, Michigan a daughter of the
late Samuel and Mary Jane (Aiekins) Walter.
Mrs. Craw had resided in Sturgis for over 50 years coming from Three Rivers.
On February 14, 1936 she married Howard Craw in Bristol, Indiana. He
died December 16, 1994.
She retired from the General Tube Company in Sturgis. Prior to that she
had been employed by the Kirsch Company, Paramount Furniture Company and
Bill Beckwith Upholstery Shop all in Sturgis. For many years she owned
operated a ceramic Shop in Sturgis.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sturgis.
Mrs. Craw is survived by One Daughter; Patricia (Dale) Sutton of
Sturgis, One Son; Robert (Jo Ann) Craw of Leesburg, Florida, Four
Grandchildren; Bobbette (Al) Wisman of Addison, Tammie Osman of
Greenville, South Carolina, Connie (Isaac) Sutton of Sturgis and Andrew
Keyser of Clearwater, Florida, Sturgis, Six Great Grandchildren, Four
Great Great Grandchildren, One Sister; Florence Roberts of Three Rivers
and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; William,
Gerald and Carl Walter and one sister; Helen Ash.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial
service will be held at a later date in the spring of 2010.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes – Hackman Chapel of Sturgis is
entrusted with arrangements.
