Owen J. Bucknell, 81, of Marcellus, passed away Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010 at Tendercare Portage.
He was born May 3, 1928 in Nottawa the son of Owen and Gladys Bucknell; on Aug, 10, 1951 in Kalamazoo he married Edna Ruth (Collins) Smith.
He was U.S. Navy veteran, and retired from Peterson Springs Inc. in Three Rivers where he was employed for 33 years.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Ruth Bucknell of Marcellus; two daughters, Paula Bucknell of Kalamazoo and Bonnie King of Schoolcraft; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, three brothers and one sister.
There will be no visitation or services. Cremation will take place at Elkhart Cremation Services, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
