Rose Mary Kinney, 96, of Three Rivers, died Thursday April 1, 2010 at her home. She was born on March 18, 1912 in Youngstown, Ohio. She is the child of Anton and Mary (Vuger) Marovich.
She was a Three Rivers resident since coming from the Kalamazoo area in August of 1950. She was married to Clarence “Pat” Lesley Kinney.
He died on Nov. 22, 1989.
She was employed at the Parchment Paper Co. in Kalamazoo in the office for eight years.
She and her husband were the owners and operators of the Kinney Truck Line in Three Rivers for over 30 years. She was also employed at the Seasons Restaurant and the Fisher Lake Tavern. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed cooking, playing cards and bingo. She loved to read and most of all she loved people and her family.
She is survived by two sons, Jeff (Connie) Kinney of Three Rivers and Mike (Mary) Kinney of Three Rivers; one daughter, Carol (Robert) Swanwick of Three Rivers; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul Marovich; sister, Pauline Ritter; an infant daughter.
Visitation will be held at the Eickhoff, Farrand, Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers on Monday, April 5, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the Eickhoff, Farrand, Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers on Tuesday, April 6, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Robert Anderson, pastor of the Three Rivers Church of the Nazarene, officiating.
Interment will take place at the Fort Custer National Cememtery in Augusta at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Envelopes are available at the Eickhoff, Farrand, Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers, which is handling the arrangements.
