Marian Rose Hostetler, 82, of White Pigeon, died Sunday, April 4, 2010, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, after an extended illness.
She was born July 6, 1927, in Elkhart, Ind., a daughter of Grover and Francis (Warble) Fleck.
On Jan. 24, 1946, she married Ora Hostetler in Constantine.
She was a lifelong homemaker, a school bus driver, worked in mail route delivery and was a Girl Scouts leader and den mother.
She enjoyed her family, sewing, cooking, baking, flea markets and antiquing with her husband.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Gloria (Larry) Waltke of White Pigeon; a son, Melvin (Dorothy) Hostetler of White Pigeon; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Francis Rovner of Skokie, Ill., and Elma Sellers of Sturgis; three brothers, Floyd Summey of White Pigeon, George Summey of Centreville and Jim Summey of Sturgis; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and 16 sisters and brothers.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wilbur Brandli officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
