Bruce Robert Oldenburg, 69, of Sturgis, and formerly of Constantine, died Friday, April 9, 2010, at Sturgis Hospital, after an extended illness.
He was born March 5, 1941 in Constantine, a son of John H. and Verna M. (Gage) Oldenburg. He lived most of his life in Constantine, moving to Sturgis in April 1997.
He was a farmer in the Constantine area until his move to Sturgis. He attended the Mottville Bible Church, was a member o the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Association, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and musical instruments.
Surviving are three daughters, Deborah A. Mann of Three Rivers, Mrs. Tim (Susan R.) Easterday of White Pigeon and Donna Charon on Mendon; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. Funeral services will be a 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Michael Bender of Mottville Bible Church officiating. Burial will follow at Constantine Cemetery.
