Arthur Mathiak, 57

Arthur Steven Mathiak, 57, of Three Rivers, passed away April 14, 2010, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. Arthur was born June 10, 1952, in Kalamazoo, the son of the late George and Julia (Spalla) Mathiak. A 1971 graduate of Gull Lake High School, he was united in marriage June 6, 2009, to Gladys Halvorsen, who survives. Also surviving are six brothers, Rick (Julia) Mathiak of Battle Creek, Bill (Donna) Mathiak of Ypsilanti, Phillip (Janet) Mathiak of Bristol, Ind., George Mathiak of Elkhart, Ind., Robert Mathiak of White Pigeon and Jack Mathiak of Edwardsburg; two stepchildren; several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. April 21 at the Faith Bible Church in Jones, the Rev. John Hill officiating.
