Steven J. Johnson, 60, beloved brother and uncle, of Lansing, and formerly of Three Rivers, died Friday, July 16, 2010, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.
He was born Oct. 12, 1949, in Three Rivers, a son of Alva T. and Stella N. (Wodjylo) Johnson.
He was a graduate of Constantine High School and veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was a resident of Lansing the past 20 years, coming from Three Rivers.
Steven was employed in the shipping department for American Axle and General Motors.
Steven enjoyed his family very much, and also liked to cook, garden and fish, and enjoyed traveling and caring for animals.
He is survived by three sisters, Roseann Johnson of Oregon, Sueann Mirkovich on Indianapolis, and Marieann Johnson of Constantine; seven brothers, Tim of Centreville, Ted of California, Jim of Lansing, John of Three Rivers, Jack of London, Canada, Tom of Sturgis and Joe of Nevada; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Michael; a sister-in-law, Marsha Johnson; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Mirkovich.
Cremation has been conducted. Private family services will be held. Interment of cremains will be at Moorepark Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
