Cassie Ludwick-Spry, 64

Cassandra “Cassie” Ludwick-Spry, age 64 of Nottawa, died Sunday August 1, 2010 at her home following an extended illness. She was born in Bronson, MI on March 23, 1946 the daughter of Harry and Theresa (Sikorski) Ludwick. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic School, graduated from Bronson High School, and later received her Associates Degree at Glen Oaks Community College. She had worked at Denton Mills, Full Service Electric Motors, and most recently at Audra Inc. in Sturgis. She was a member of Saint Edward Catholic Church in Mendon. Cassie loved to travel and had visited numerous foreign countries.

Cassie is survived by her husband, Melvin Spry of Sturgis; 2 sisters in law, Jean Guth of Gobles, and Sandra Ludwick of Detroit; 2 cousins, Roger and Maurice Novereski; 1 nephew; and 3 nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Ronald Ludwick.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. The funeral mass for Cassie Ludwick will be 11 a.m. Thursday Aug. 5, 2010 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Mendon with Rev. Father James Vinh Le officiating. Burial will be in St. Edward Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
