Henry H. Moyer, age 59, of Mendon, died Saturday Aug. 7, 2010, at his home.
He was born in Vicksburg, Mich., on July 18, 1951, the son of the late Shirley Roland and Barbara Jean (Hoover) Moyer, and was a lifetime resident of the area.
Henry served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam in 1969 and 1970. He was married to Nanette Phillips in 1971; they were later divorced. Henry had recently retired from Portage Aluminum and Foundry due to poor health.
Henry is survived by a son, Brady Moyer (Sarah) of Santa Clara, Calif.; a daughter, Patricia Stillman of Spring Hill, Fla.; three brothers, Claude “Ron” Moyer (Delores) of Leonidas, Larry Moyer and Fred Moyer both of Marcellus; a step-sister, Shirley; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a nephew, Fredrick J. Moyer.
Cremation has been conducted. A military interment of his ashes will take place at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Fort Custer National Cemetery near Augusta. An online register is available and condolences may be left for the family at www.eickhofffuneralhome.com.
