Jean Marie Ward, 73, of Three Rivers, Michigan passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 21, 1936 in Kalamazoo, MI., the daughter of Jerry C. and Dorothy (Chambers) Miller.
Jeannie was a lifetime resident of Three Rivers. She married Frank E. (Drake) Ward on March 24, 1956. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting, but her favorite thing was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Jeannie also enjoyed spending her winters in Lake Havasu City and entertaining the occasional visitors that would drop by. Jeannie was loved by all that knew her and her home was filled with love, laughter, and family.
Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, two brothers-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.
Jeannie brought into this world four children, Kim (Jim Dechnik II)Stiteler, Kathy Ericson, William “Bill” (Marilyn) Ward, Tom Ward, and with that she was given six grandchildren, Renea (Anthony) Lockwood, Lindsay (Steven) Faile, Darin Stiteler (Sarah Stanard), April Steiner (George Roberts), Emily (Dechnik) Lapham, Travis and David Ward, and then she was blessed with the light of her life, six great-grandchildren, Brooke Faile, Logan Lockwood, Bailey Faile, Dylan Combs, Riley Lockwood, Braylon Faile; one sister, Robin (Larry) Kahler, and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has already taken place per her request. A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday the 28th day August 2010 at the Elks Lodge #1248, 603 West Michigan Ave., Three Rivers. Donations may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center, envelopes available at the Hohner Funeral Home in care of Jeannie’s arrangements.
