Arnold LeRoy Luck, age 92, Kalkaska, MI passed away Wednesday, September 1st, 2010 at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center. He was born in Centreville, MI on October 3, 1917, a son of Herman and Augusta (Rhoda) Luck. On November 22, 1939 Arnold married Helen Roddy in Centreville and honeymooned in Deer Camp at Stanton, MI. Helen preceded him in death October 28, 2002. He was employed at the Kirsch Co. White Pigeon for for 30 years retiring in 1977. Arnold also worked for the Village of Centreville from 1962 to 1977 and on the family farm. Arnold was a member of the Kalkaska United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his sons John (Pat) Luck of Kalkaska, Bruce (Betty) Luck of Sturgis, Brian Luck of Three Rivers, and Dennis (Altha) Luck of Spring Hill, TN, daughter in law Marsha (Dave) Luck Davis, 7 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, sisters Norma Jean Frays of Centreville, and Mildred Hitzeman of Three Rivers, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 sons Michael Luck and Richard Luck and 2 sisters Elsie Hitzeman and Edith Riley.
Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received Tuesday Sept. 7 at the Eley Funeral Home in Centreville from 11am to 1 pm. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 pm, Pastor Clint Zehr, New Covenant Christian Fellowship, Colon, MI will officiate.
Interment of Ashes will be at the Prairie River Cemetery in Centreville. Memorial contributions may be made to Kalkaska Memorial Health – Eden Center. On line messages may be left for the family at www.eleyfuneralhomes.com.
