Ralph Dean “Gus” Pulley, 58, of White Pigeon, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010 in Mottville.
He was born March 27, 1952, in Sturgis, a son of Ralph and Betty (Walley) Pulley. He had been a Mottville resident most of his life, coming from Sturgis.
On July 14, 1979, he married Vanessa L. Markley in White Pigeon. She preceded him in death March 8, 2003.
He was employed as a welder and truck driver. He was a past member of the Eagles and American Legion Auxiliary of Sturgis and a past member of the White Pigeon Fire Department.
He was an avid Harley-Davidson motorcycle rider. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and also enjoyed spear fishing and raccoon hunting.
Surviving are two daughters, Danyale Pulley of White Pigeon and Sonya Barczak of Union; two grandchildren, Austin and Connor; a sister, Vickie Pulley-Cary of Bronson; a brother, Michael Pulley of Sturgis; his companion, Mary Arthur of White Pigeon; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and a nephew, Chad Michael.
Visitation is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Pastor Nathan Breneman of Northside Baptist Church in Elkhart, Ind., officiating.
Burial will follow in Mottville Township Cemetery.
