Anita E. Balyeat, 93, of 6 1/2 Mile Road, East LeRoy, Mich., died Sept. 9, 2010, at her home following a short illness.
She was born Nov. 19, 1916, in Bath, a daughter of Elmer and Wilma (Boyd) Domer.
On May 8, 1935, she married Earl L. Balyeat in LaGrange, Ind. He died June 9, 2006.
She had been a resident of East LeRoy since 1999, coming from Kalkaska, and had spent her early life in Shipshewana, Ind.
She was a lifelong homemaker and had worked at Beal’s Dime Store and the Floral Shop, both in Centreville, and Freeman Manufacturing in Sturgis.
Surviving are a daughter, Rebecca (Jerry) Suhonen of East LeRoy; two sons, Earl (Jim) Balyeat of Sturgis and Glenn A. and Barbara Balyeat of White Pigeon; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; six brothers and sisters; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a daughter-in-law.
Relatives and friends may call from 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Wednesday at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon, where services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Wilbur Brandli will officiate. Burial will follow in the White Pigeon Township Cemetery.
