Grace Kalinowski, 80

Grace Rose Kalinowski, 80, of 207 Franks Ave. Sturgis, passed away at her daughter Lonee Mullins’ home on Sept. 16, 2010.

She was born Aug. 28, 1930, to Stanley and Grace Rose Gregory in Hammond, Ind.

On July 30, 1949, Grace married Jack Breneman. He preceded her in death in January 1997. They had five children, Karla (Breneman) Kincaid of Celina, Ohio, Randy (Betty) Breneman of Rouge River, Ore., Danny (Diana) Breneman of Mendon, Corby (Mary) Breneman and Lonee (Sam) Mullins of Sturgis. Corby preceded her in death in November 1994.

Also preceding her in death were a sister, Betty Marie Engle of Jacksonville, Fla., and a granddaughter, Lisa Ann Zizelman of Rockford, Ohio.

Grace has 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She married Fredrick Kalinowski of Calumet City, Ill., where they resided for over 30 years prior to his passing in 2004, at which time she returned to Michigan.

Grace was primarily a homemaker most of her life. She loved the outdoors, gardening, sewing and spending time with her family. She was fun-loving. She always had a helping hand for those in need.

While residing at Froh Manor, she loved to play cards with the ladies and help tend to the flower beds and plants.

Grace attended the Nazarene Church on Fawn River Road in Sturgis.

Memorial services following cremation will be at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 9 at the Assembly of God Church, 501 Division St., Union City. Grace and her husband Fred will be buried next to her son, Corby Breneman. Pastor Pete Payne of Assembly of God Church will deliver the eulogy.

A small time of fellowship will follow the service.
