Patrick Michael McKenzie, age 61, of Three Rivers, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. He was born on April 13, 1949 in Lansing, MI. the son of Joseph and Jean (Harmon) McKenzie.
Pat served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. Upon returning from duty, he was employed as a welder and laborer for C.M.I. and Pace of Middlebury, IN. and more recently Magma Multiplex, of IN., he also tended bar in Three Rivers for the Tap Room. “Bubba” enjoyed bowling in leagues at South Lanes for many years.
Pat was preceded in death by his father, Joseph, one son, Christian McKenzie; and one granddaughter, Ronda.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Jean McKenzie, of Three Rivers; two daughters, Farrah McKenzie, of Constantine, and Myrriah McKenzie, of Three Rivers; two sons, Patrick McKenzie II, of Kalamazoo, and Eric Schippers, of Three Rivers; one sister, Sharon (Edard “John”) English, of Three Rivers; six grandchildren, Hunter McKenzie, Xavier and Zander Fireline, Brittney and Michael Myers, and Jeb Hack (Master Srgt. U.S. Army). Several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010 at the American Legion Hice-Shutes Post #170, with Military Honors taking place at 1:30 p.m.
