Sarah Rambadt, 68

Sarah J. Rambadt, age 68, of Sturgis, passed away Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at Sturgis Hospital.

She was born April 25, 1942, in Sturgis, a daughter of the late Lavern and Ruth (Hill) Rambadt.

Sarah had been a resident of Sturgis most of her life, except for a couple years where she resided in Amburg, Wis.

She had been employed for a few years at Martin Products in Sturgis and had dedicated most of her life to taking care of her parents and grandchildren.

She enjoyed crocheting and had patterns published in national magazines.

Surviving are her life long companion, James Warner of Sturgis; one son, Timothy Rambadt of South Bend, Ind.; three grandchildren, Randi (Timothy) Schlabach of Howe, Ind., Rikki Aikens and Preston Aikens, both of Sturgis; five great-grandchildren, Zachary Royer, Bailey Schlabach, Gabriel Canada, Dillon and Logan Schlabach.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tina Aikens; and a sister: Judith Bower.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Hackman Family Funeral Home Rosenberg Chapel, 807 E. Chicago Road, Sturgis.

According to her wishes, cremation will follow.

Memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society, envelopes are available at the funeral home.
