Norma Jean VanZile, 58, of Three Rivers, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010 at the Rose Arbor Hospice Care Center. She was born in Three Rivers on June 6, 1952 the daughter of Norman and Margene (Savage) Wordelman.
Norma was a faithful member of the Three Rivers Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She built a life with her devoted husband, filled with love and laughter. Side by side they enjoyed many blessings. Six children and six grandchildren, along with many cherished pets. Vacations to Disney World and Silver Lake were enjoyed by all. Taking care of her beautiful home made her very happy. She also took great pleasure in caring for her chickens, making sure all the friends were well provided with eggs. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, gardening, and cooking. She will be truly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her father.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving family, husband, Michael VanZile, whom she married on Dec. 30, 1972; children, Michelle VanZile of Three Rivers, Timothy (Amanda) VanZile of Three Rivers, Andrea (Daniel) Flores of Granger, Ind., Nicole (Kris) Jones of Grand Rapids, Jackie (Nathan) Lehman of Three Rivers and Melissa (Brett) Taylor of Three Rivers; three sisters, Linda (Lamonte) White, Karen (Brian) Dubbeld and Mary (Gary) McClain, all of Three Rivers; six grandchildren, Austin, Garrett, and Katilyn VanZile, Malayna Jones, and Hannah and Logan Lehman.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30 at the Three Rivers Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 330 S. Douglas Ave., Three Rivers, with Mr. Richard Black officiating.
Memorials may be donated to the Three Rivers Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Envelopes are available at the Hohner Funeral Home in care of Norma Jean’s arrangements.
