Bill Kelley, 75

William  (Bill) Kelley, age 75, of Sturgis, passed away Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born in Sturgis on September 30, 1935, a son of Howard and Dorothy (Summerlott) Kelley. Bill graduated from Centreville High School in 1954. On March 5, 1955 he married Joan Shannon at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Three Rivers. He worked in skilled trades at General Motors 14 years and previously  at Sears, both in Three Rivers, He was also co-owner of B&B Service and worked on the farm with his father. Bill enjoyed fishing and was known as a handyman who could fix anything. He also loved sports and had been active as a coach in youth baseball and football.
Surviving are his wife Joan Kelley, Sturgis, daughters  Debra (Lewis) Beck of Sebring, FL, Kathleen (Michael) Moore of Sturgis, son  Kevin (Linda) Kelley of Sturgis, sisters  Sue (Doug) Blausis of Tecumseh, Pat (John) Luck of Kalkaska, brother  Robert (Joan) Kelley of Centreville, grandchildren Jim Frederick, Dave Frederick, Kristin Beck, Matthew Beck, Jennifer (Mitch) West, William Joseph (Jen) Rider, Justin Moore, Ashley (Aaron) VanVorst, Zachary Kelley and Ashley Kelley, great grandchildren Landon and Colton West, Logan and Tyler Rider, Brayden Moore and Layne VanVorst. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received Tuesday  from 12 – 2 p.m  at the Eley Funeral Home in Centreville where a Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Clint Zehr, New Covenant Christian Fellowship of Colon will officiate.  Memorial contributions may be made to West Michigan Cancer Center.
