Steven Alan Miller, 54, of Constantine, passed away Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
He was born May 23, 1956, a son of Tobias and Shirley (Foos) Miller.
Steve graduated from Constantine High School in 1975. He worked for 23 years as a truck driver and materials handler at Arbor Industries in Middlebury, Ind.
Steve enjoyed sports and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He also liked reading, camping, and being outdoors. Steve was a very giving person and will be missed by his family and friends.
Surviving Steve are his parents, Tobias and Shirley Miller, of Constantine; sisters Sharol Stelter of Comstock Park, Carolyn Schwemer of White Pigeon, Patricia Oswalt of Constantine; brother Ron (Tonya) Miller of Constantine; nieces and nephews Ronya June Miller, Tiffany Bentley, Michael Hollifield, Matthew Stelter, Andrew Stelter, Alicia Besemer, Elizabeth Bennett, Richard Schwemer, Craig Schwemer, Steven Oswalt and their families. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his brothers-in-law, Tim Oswalt and Douglas Schwemer.
Relatives and friends will be received at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and also Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Marilyn Schlimgen of the First Congregational United Church of Christ will officiate. Interment will be in the Constantine Cemetery.
