William “Bill” D. Summers, age 70, of Three Rivers, passed away Tuesday May 10, 2011.
Bill was born on July 29, 1940 in Centreville, to the late William R. and Evelyn (Hill) Summers.
He attended Colon High School and went on to work as a used cars salesman and in the construction trade for which he loved dearly.
Bill retired from Peterson Springs in 2003.
On July 3, 1975, he was united in marriage to Bonnie Swartz, who survives. Bill is also survived by his daughters, Julie (Tracy) Smith, Judy Hartman, Jennifer Potts and Janie (Joe) Ware; two sons, Jeff (Darla) and Joel Middlestadt; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ron (Sharon) Summers; and many other relatives.
In accordance with Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers.
Visitation will also be held on Saturday at the funeral home, starting at 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the family, c/o Bonnie Summers.
