Robert E. Stahl, 77, of Constantine, died Sunday, May 29, 2011, at his home.
He was born May 20, 1934 in St. Louis, Mich., a son of Guy E. and Catherine (Bigelow) Stahl. He had been a Constantine resident most of his life, coming from Alma.
On Jan. 7, 1967, he married Lorna L. Shears in Bristol, Ind. She died later the same day.
He had been employed at Constantine Creamery, Continental Can of Three Rivers, and retired from Nichols Company of Constantine.
He enjoyed shopping, gambling and traveling to Florida with his wife and woodworking.
Surviving are four daughters, Sheryl (Butch Sassaman) Stahl of Fort Myers, Fla., Cathy (Tim) Cundiss of Howe, Ind., Shannon Stahl of Fort Myers and Michelle Jarratt of Constantine; a son, Robert (Jean) Stahl of Sturgis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Daniel (Sara) Stahl of Big Rapids, Bill (Bonnie) Stahl of Eldridge and Lyle Huntoon of Ovid; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Todd Caywood; and two brothers.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place.
Funeral services will take place 1 p.m. Thursday at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon, with Pastor Dennis Kirouac of Riverside Church in Three Rivers officiating.
