Clarence D. “Clink” Stephanoff, age 75, of Three Rivers, passed away Wednesday, July 20th, 2011 at his home. He was born on October 2, 1935 at his family home in Roseville, MI, a son of Stuart and Myrtle (Hopper) Stephanoff. Clink served in the US Marine Corp from 1952 – 1955 during the Korean War. On September 28, 1957 he married Ruth A. Hartnett in Mt. Clemens.
Clink worked as a mechanic for General Motors Fisher Body and also owned and operated Clinks Recycling. He was a great tinkerer and could fix anything. Clink was a member of Trinity Missionary Church for 30 years, where he was known as “the candyman”. No one ever left church without receiving a piece of candy and a goodbye greeting from Clink.
Surviving Clink are his wife Ruth Stephanoff, Three Rivers, daughter Jody L. (Jeffrey) Muzzarelli, Sterling Hts., son James S. (Ruth) Stephanoff, Constantine, 5 grandchildren, Benjamin Muzzarelli, Michael Muzzarelli, both of Sterling Hts., Jarod Stephanoff, Christopher Stephanoff, and Amy Stephanoff, all of Constantine, sister June (Marvin) Cann, Ellijay, GA, and brothers Jack (Norma) Stephanoff, Roseville, and Robert (Michelle) Stephanoff, Elk Rapids. He was preceded in death by is parents, sisters Ruth barber, Gladys Barnhardt, Betty Stephanoff and brother William Stephanoff.
Relatives and friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. Religious Services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the the Trinity Missionary Church, Constantine, with Reverend Terry Neumayer officiating. Cremation will follow services.
