Red Barnhardt Jr., 62

Harold Dean “Red” Barnhardt Jr., age 62, of Three Rivers, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Borgess Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born on Dec. 14, 1948 in Three Rivers, MI. the son of Harold Dean and Marguerite E. (Barks) Barnhardt, Sr.

He graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1967. Red served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged. He was employed for sixteen years with the City of Three Rivers and following worked for the Three Rivers Schools Bus Garage before retiring in 1994. Red enjoyed hunting and fishing and playing with his band “Foggy River String Band”.

Red was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Beverly Baker and Johnny Gearhart.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Linda (Goss) Barnhardt, of Three Rivers, whom he married on March 16, 1980 at Newberg Baptist Church.; two sisters, Betty Evans and Ann Lovett, of Three Rivers; one daughter Michelle; step-daughter, Kari Ballard, of Three Rivers, many nieces and nephews, and many special friends.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at the Corey Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Gary Carr officiating.

Interment of cremains will take place at Poe’s Cemetery.
