Alana Wolffradt, 65

Alana Sue Wolffradt, age 65, of Constantine, passed away Monday, July 25, 2011, at 9:55 p.m., after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by her family. 

Alana was born June 29, 1946, in Sturgis, to the late Paul J. and Pauline L. (Ledgyard) Harker. She was preceded in death by two husbands, three brothers and a sister-in-law. 

Surviving are a son, Virgil J. (Christine) Dunham of Constantine; a daughter, Dawn M. (Robert) Kaplansky of Three Rivers; her brothers, Roger and Vern Harker of Howe, Ind..; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many more who loved her dearly. 

Alana was a self-employed retailer with Creative Galleries, and other individual endeavors. She had worked various jobs; was union president at one of the companies. She was a 3rd degree priestess and member of Sacred Oaks Temple. She had many hobbies she enjoyed such as karaoke, crossword puzzles, playing keyboard and being with her family and friends. In 1982, she graduated with her high school diploma from Mendon Adult Education. 

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Aug. 14 at her home, 1100 Canaris St. in Constantine, with her son and daughter, who are ordained ministers, presiding. Burial will take place privately.
