Sherrie DeBoer, 46

Sherrie Lee DeBoer, 46, of Three Rivers, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011. She was born in Sturgis on Jan. 6, 1965 the daughter of Gerald and Sandra (Jansen) Dentler. She graduated from Mendon High School in 1983, and was married to Fred DeBoer on May 12, 1984 in Three Rivers. Sherrie was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family, camping, and gardening. She had also been employed at Denton Mills, Nagel’s Glad Farm, Elias Brothers, Kenco, Trim Pac and the Redi-Coin Laundry.

Sherrie is survived by her husband, Fred; two children, Jeremy DeBoer (Kailey Fuller) of Mendon and Cassandra DeBoer of Three Rivers; her mother, Sandra Dentler; her step-mother, Chris Dentler; her grandmother, Lillian Dentler all of Three Rivers; sisters, Lori Chapman (Ralph) of Three Rivers and Kellie Sosnowski (Micah) of Mendon; brothers, Doug Bates (Karen) of Sturgis, Dan Bates (Tami) of Constantine and Luke Dentler (Lindsey) of Three Rivers; several nieces and nephews; and one great-nephew, Landin Chapman. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Dentler, earlier this year.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Parkville Cemetery. Memorials will be directed to the family. An online register is available at www.eickhofffuneralhome.com.
