William E. (Bill) Hunt, age 49, Mottville, passed away Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, at his home following a battle with cancer.
Bill was born in Mishawaka, Ind., on Aug. 6, 1962, a son of Thomas and Joyce (Giszewski) Hunt. He graduated from Jimtown High School.
On Jan. 17, 1997, he married Amy Jo Penninger in Elkhart. Bill worked as a store manager at Eagle Ready Mix in Goshen for 18 years and was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Constantine. He was a former member of Boy Scout Troop #410 Constantine serving as Cub master. Bill enjoyed dirt biking, camping and being outdoors. Mostly Bill was a devoted and loving husband and father who cherished his children.
Surviving are his father, Thomas (Beverly) Hunt of Middlebury; wife Amy Jo Hunt, daughter Codi Lenae Hunt, son Tanner Thomas Hunt, all of Mottville; son Derek William Hunt of White Pigeon; sister Karen (Richard) Jones of White Pigeon; brother Timothy (Lynette) Hunt of Middlebury; mother in law Pam Penninger, Union; brother in law John Penninger Jr., Union; brother in law Robert Penninger, Afghanistan. He was preceded in death by his mother Joyce Hunt; and father in law John Penninger Sr.
Relatives and friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. Religious services will be held at the Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with Pastor Marilyn Schlimgen officiating. Interment will be in the Mottville Township Cemetery.
