Barbara Louise Hochberger, age 82, of Three Rivers, formerly of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at the Heartland Health Care Center. She was born on Jan. 8, 1929 in Chicago, IL., the daughter of Carl and Barbara (Kurz) Anderson.
On June 25, 1949, she was united in marriage to Mr. James A. Hochberger, in Chicago, IL. Together they have shared their lives in Newton, Iowa and also Jackson, Missouri where they were members of the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri before moving to Three Rivers to be near family.
Mrs. Hochberger was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Frank Stibor, Gladys, Juanita, and June Jones, and Frederic William Jones.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, family, husband, James A. Hochberger, of Three Rivers, MI.; one son, Bruce (Karen) Hochberger, of Bellevue, Nebraska; one daughter, Brenda (Jon) Deily, of Three Rivers, MI., grandson, Nick Parker, of Aspen, Colorado; granddaughter, Katie (Jonathan) Leichliter, of Aspen, CO.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2011 at the Hohner Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Mike Malone of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church officiating.
Memorials may be donated to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Envelopes available at the funeral home and church.
Interment will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later date.
