David Orlin Vincent II, age 45, of Sturgis, Mich., passed away unexpectedly late Friday evening, Dec. 9, 2011, at his home.
He was born July 15, 1966, in Battle Creek, Mich., a son of David O. and Norma (Fuller) Vincent.
David had resided in Sturgis for the past 11 years coming from Battle Creek where he attended Battle Creek Lakeview High School and was involved in sports, including baseball and football.
On July 22, 2004, he married Michele Hainer in Centreville, Mich.
David was a fan of NASCAR and followed the career of Dale Earnhardt. He loved time with his family, especially playing video golf and baseball with his son. He also liked playing horseshoes and cards and his cooking breakfast will be missed by many.
He is survived by his loving wife, Michele; one son, David Orlin Vincent III at home; mother and stepfather, Norma (Thomas) Clewley of Colon; two sisters, Suzanne (Michael) Dilling of Battle Creek and Renée (Charles) Allen of Colon; one brother, Michael (Judy) Vincent of Portage, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at the VFW Hall, 264 W. Fawn River Rd., Sturgis where a meal will be served and a time for continued fellowship at 6 p.m.
