Jane Marie Frick, 64, of Shipshewana, Ind., died at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at Parkview Hospital, Ft. Wayne.
She was born on March 31, 1947, in Sturgis, Mich., to Ledger and Violet (Kaas) Wygant.
On June 20, 1992, in Huston County, Latexo, Texas, she married Duane Frick. He survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband are a daughter, Lesa Marie Lung of Goshen; a son, Chad Crowder of Monte Vista, Colo.; three step daughters, Cynthia (Chad) Arnold of Elkhart, Texas, Bethaney (Jeff) Clopp of Pollock, Texas, Christina “Tudie” (Brian) Chapin of Elkhart, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Harriet Harvey; three brothers, Dutch, “Leland”, Carl and George Wygant.
She was a homemaker, cafeteria manager at York Elementary for 13 years, operated the Deere Run Bed & Breakfast in Shipshewana, co-owner/operator of Latexo General Store in Latexo, Texas, and was a member of the Shipshewana Church of the Nazarene.
Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 pm on Sunday, January 8, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street, Middlebury.
There will be visitation for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service today at the Shipshewana Church of the Nazarene. Services will be conducted by Rev. Andy Dayton. Burial will be in Burr Oak Township Cemetery.
